The nearest international airport to Lake Como is Milan Malpensa. You can easily spend two days in Milan before or after visiting Lake Como, or make it part of a larger Northern Italy itinerary. You can take a train from Milan to the town of Como, on the southwestern portion of the lake in under one hour.
